£150,000 spent on revamp for Felpham hotel

About £150,000 has been spent updating a booming Felpham hotel.

Owner Robert Warham opened the doors of the Beachcroft Hotel on Tuesdayto reveal a totally new look to the seafront building.

The complete refurbishment has given the 35 rooms of two star grade accommodation and public areas a more contemporary upmarket feel.

Outside, the change can be seen in a freshly repainted faade in a warm Medit-erranean colour.

Mr Warham, who bought the Clyde Road hotel in November 2005, was anxious to carry out the work while keeping the charm of the hotel's 34-year history intact.

He said: "Hotels need constant investment to keep up with customers' needs.

"There is a lot happening in Bognor Regis with the work to do with the regeneration, the University of Chichester, the new community college and the new housing.

"This activity encouraged me to spend the money to bring the hotel up to modern day standards."

The hotel has been full this winter. Many of the guests are working on the railway modernisation around Barnham station.
