The incident, in Kirdford Road, was reported to West Sussex Fire and Rescue service at 6.45pm on Friday (August 29) Firefighters from Petworth attended the scene and a chimney kit was used to extinguish the blaze. Advice has been given to the occupier to prevent this from happening in the future.
