Rugby kids have a feast - and are home in time for tea
The organisers could not have hoped for better weather conditions and more than 750 children and 1,000 adults representing teams from across West Sussex and Hampshire descended on Oaklands Park.
Teams came from Haywards Heath, Fareham, Portsmouth, Havant, Pulborough, Worthing, Horsham, Bognor and Chichester for under-seven through to under-12 matches.

Hide AdThe festival is based upon a pool system with the winner of each pool going on to contest the final. The skill level shown by the children was outstanding with players sidestepping and jinxing their way to score. The tackling was ferocious with some of the games seeing only one try scored, which shows strong defence.
The festival was also attended by a number of local dignitaries who watched the action then handed out medals and trophies.
Chichester RFC thanked sponsors who made donations towards the festival and the helpers and parents who gave up a morning to make it such a great success.
The festival is an annual event and if any company or individual would like to get involved next year they should let the club know. For further information see www.pitchero.com/clubs/chichester
