Three Bridges suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of rampant promotion hopefuls Guernsey with all the goals being scored by talented topscorer Ross Allen.

He got his first goal after only five minutes when a weak back pass from Charlie Leach only just found goalkeeper Martin Grant whose clearance hit Allen, who tapped the ball into an empty net.

Immediately, Elliott Romain could have equalised, but his chip failed to clear advancing keeper Chris Tardif.

Bridges played their way back into the game, when after 20 minutes Matt Daniel fought his way through the defence to level the score.

Minutes later, Ross Allen pounced for his second goal, after mis-communication in the defence between Charlie Leach and Marlon Maxwell, left him with a simple tap-in.

Guernsey carried on playing good passing football but that did not stop Elliott Romain having a few decent chances for Three Bridges.

A spectacular very long clearance from the Guernsey goalkeeper was allowed to bounce and fool the defence, which allowed the persistent Allen to complete his hat-trick with a tap-in after 35 minutes.
