Why a Horsham theatre has achieved UK '˜Hall of Fame' status
The theatre achieved ‘Hall of Fame’ status last week by earning a fifth consecutive Certificate of Excellence award from ratings reviewer TripAdvisor.
Over the past five years the Capitol has maintained an overall TripAdvisor rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Hide AdJonathan Chowen, cabinet member for culture for Horsham District Council - which owns the Capitol - said: “I am delighted but not surprised that the Capitol has been recognised as a top centre of excellence for theatre, cinema and the arts.
“We are extremely proud to receive this recognition, particularly as the only judges for the TripAdvisor accreditations are our visitors and customers who vote with their reviews and patronage.
“It is particularly fitting that as we as a district embark upon the 2019 Year of Culture, the Capitol has achieved this award.”
Capitol manager Nick Mowat added:“I commend the whole team at the Capitol for their dedication in ensuring the best possible service levels for our customers.

The Capitol is one of the county’s leading arts and entertainments venues. In addition to the recognition received by The Capitol, other Horsham District Council sites which have received favourable reviews on TripAdvisor include Horsham Park, Southwater Country Park, Chesworth Farm and Leechpool & Owlbeech Woods.
