UPDATED: Distracted by dog before two-car crash in Hastings

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) were called to reports of a crash on Elphinstone Road at around 12.30pm.
A woman driving a Toyota Prius is reported to have been distracted by a dog in the car prior to the crash with an oncoming Ford Focus, a police spokesman said.

Hide AdA driver and two children were checked out by the two SECAmb crews and treated on scene, a SECAmb spokesman said, but it is unclear which car they were in.
The road was closed temporarily while the vehicles were recovered and the scene was made safe by firefighters.
