Sussex traffic bulletin, June 19: Here is what the roads look like this morning

Here is the latest traffic news from across the county for motorists heading out today (Friday, June 19).

Part of the A27 is partially blocked due to a stalled vehicle.

According to the AA, the incident is affecting the A27 Lewes Road westbound before The Street (Arlington/Litlington turn off), leading to congestion towards Polegate.

There are temporary traffic signals due to water main work on Barn Close at Horsham Road, near Pease Pottage.

There are also restrictions in place due to construction on A2004 Northgate Avenue at Woodfield Road. Footpath closure and restrictions are in place outside Crawley Police Station, the AA reports.

An ongoing speed restriction of 50mph is in place due to major smart motorway upgrade works on the M23 both ways between M25 J7/M23 and J10 A264 Copthorne Way (Crawley). The lane closures have been removed and all four lanes now open but speed restrictions remain in place.

Elsewhere there are temporary traffic lights due to construction on Bell Lane near The Swan Inn, Lewes.

There are also temporary traffic signals due to gas main work taking place on the A259 Old London Road between High Street and Ashburnham Road, Hastings.
