Busy stretch of road on Eastbourne seafront reopens
Grand Parade has been closed since the Claremont Hotel fire on November 22, which left the building in an unsafe state, meaning the council had to shut the road and bring in contractors to safely demolish the Grade II listed structure.
Because of construction, all traffic had to be diverted around the area during the works.

Demolition contractors have been on the site since the start of 2020.
It is still not yet known what caused the fire which destroyed the Claremont.
