RockinghorseWaitrose helps children's charity
A local children's charity has benefitted from a scheme launched by Waitrose supermarket.
Rockinghorse was selected as a beneficiary charity for the Waitrose Community Matters scheme throughout January, which saw 20 branches in the south – including Eastbourne – support the charity.
As part of the scheme, customers are given a token at the end of their shop to place in the Community Matters box in their local branch, to support one of the selected causes. Together, the participating branches raised £6,488.
Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. To find out more visit www.rockinghorse.org.uk.
