Councillor Howard Mundin said: “It’s a very exciting time to become mayor of Haywards Heath as we ease out of lockdown and see new businesses already opening.
“There are more businesses opening up soon and it will be wonderful to see these up and running to help restore the vibrancy of our town centre.

“We have such a vast array of shops and services in our town, everything from sports shops to local deli’s, a market selling fresh fruit, vegetables and locally grown plants and goods, plus so many wonderful café’s, restaurants and pubs.
“That is not to mention the whole range of businesses we have to provide service to our residents, from banks, insurance and finance companies, to marketing, IT and garden design.
“Let’s make sure we support local in our town and I will personally be speaking to our business communities to see how they too can support our community.”
