A Felpham primary school which was said to ‘need improvement’ for several years has now been rated ‘good’.

Ofsted inspectors visited Bishop Tufnell Primary School on July 6 and 7 and praised its strong safeguarding procedures, the polite student body and the school’s nurturing environment.

The report reads: “Right from the start of early years, staff have high expectations for children’s achievement and especially behaviour. Pupils now behave well throughout the school. Staff provide effective support for pupils who need help to manage their behaviour and emotions.”
