Horsham’s Elephantastic project is off to a flying start with more than 50 companies already on board in just one week.

The blank model elephants provided by Horsham Rotary Club in partnership with Horsham District Council and local traders organisation, Horsham Unlimited, are being snapped up by local businesses, with more than 60 already accounted for.

The project invites organisations to adopt and decorate a model elephant, and partner with a local charity which will benefit from the proceeds raised by the elephant when auctioned.

Elephantastic Charity Partner, Horsham based Born Free Foundation, an international wildlife organisation will also receive funds towards its new appeal to build Europe’s first elephant sanctuary in Tuscany.

The event is set to promote Horsham town and the surrounding areas throughout the summer holidays when the elephants will be placed in a series of ‘safari’ trails in the town centre and nearby countryside, alongside a host of family activities.

This week also saw the launch of the creative Elephantastic branding and logo, designed and donated by Billingshurst-based marketing agency, PMW Communications.

The eye-catching and unique graphics, colours and imagery will be popping up across Horsham in the coming months.
