The Barnham boy dressed up as Captain Tom for World Book Day and yesterday (March 4) completed 100 laps of his housing estate around Chesham Place, covering an amazing 29 miles.
The gruelling marathon took Vinnie over 10 hours, factoring in media obligations and well-earned breaks, from 9am to 7.30pm.
Speaking after completing his epic route, Vinnie was brimming with pride.
He said: “It was good, I loved it, but it was difficult. Everyone was cheering, I even had people’s dogs barking out the window to cheer me on.”
Vinnie added he thought Captain Tom would have been proud of his achievement. His mum Charlotte, who walked the course with Vinnie and his dad, Leon, said Vinnie would get to do whatever he wanted today, which would probably involve pizza, his X-Box and pancakes with melted Galaxy.
