Arun District Council planners have approved the building of the centre at the Upper Bognor Road resort and relocation of fairground rides, some of which will be under a new tensile enclosure.
Their decision report said the application 'proposes the removal of an artificial pitch and associated fencing and landscaping and relocating the existing fairground rides in its place'.

"A new Activity Centre is proposed on an area of land where some of the fairground rides currently sit and seeks to extend the leisure offering of the holiday resort, providing space for escape rooms, laser tag, café, golf, ping pong and bar facilities."
It said 'overall, the proposed development will lead to a net increase in leisure and tourism facilities onsite, improving the visitor economy'.
"The proposal is estimated to create the equivalent of 45 full-time jobs to operate the Activity Centre," officers said.
