Faye Brunning, an official ambassador, organised the first Kids Yoga Day last Friday and said it was ‘a resounding success’.
A single mother with four-year-old twins, Faye has been studying hard to complete 200 hours of adult yoga and children’s yoga teacher training.

Faye said: “Kids’ Yoga Day, founded by Teresa Power, is an international event meant to raise awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and yoga for as many children as possible.
“Other venues will be schools, homes, yoga studios and child care organisations, with more than 100 official ambassadors plus countless others who are following along at home.
“It was a fun, exciting event to help children deal with the overstimulation of today’s technology-based world.

“Yoga has been practised for more than 5,000 years and helps children of all abilities stay calm in the face of stress, increase focus and concentration, develop discipline, get physically activity, create healthy habits and the list goes on.
“I wish to bring more yoga to nurseries, play schools, preschools and schools, to supply and support children with the skills they need in this modern life.”
More than £250 was raised for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice through a raffle.
