More than 1000 people living in the town are cheating on their partner, affairs website Illicit Encounters has claimed. The website’s 2016 UK Infidelity Index estimates that 1319 Crawley citizens are having an affair, with Horsham’s 788 affairs second in Sussex. Eastbourne leads East Sussex with 502 cheaters, narrowly ahead of Hastings’ 489. Crawley also holds the questionable distinction of being listed 25th among towns in the UK, with 1.23 per cent of the population having an affair. Meanwhile, High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire is the affairs capital of the UK in 2016, with 2119 people cheating on their partners - 2.12 per cent of the town’s population. As the index only shows the results in towns across the country, the figures for Chichester and Brighton are not included.
