Cause of Eastbourne home fire revealed as investigation begins

Multiple fire engines were sent to a property on Enys Road at 1.25pm.
All residents were safely evacuated and one person with smoke inhalation was left in the care of paramedics, according to East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Hide Ad"The fire at Enys Road, Eastbourne has now been extinguished," a spokesperson said.
"Eight fire engines were in attendance and one aerial ladder platform, four breathing apparatus, one main jet and one in seven foam were used.
"It was an electrical fire that started in the basement of the property. A fire investigation is being undertaken."
Whilst the incident was ongoing, people were asked to avoid the area and nearby residents urged to keep their windows shut.
